Our client is a software engineering consultancy company based in Cologne specialising in the full agile Software Development lifecycle, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps & Cloud solutions to national and international corporations.

To be eligible to work as a Software Engineer / IT Consultant you need to have completed studies with a focus on Computer Science (Informatics, Software Engineering, ML/AI, etc.) and have previous experience in programming.

It doesn’t matter which of this programming language you have worked with - you will be given the opportunity to learn and adapt while participating in different projects and find your passion and specialise later in your career!

Responsibilities

Working within a team and a senior mentor, you will:

  • Work on complex and challenging software projects spanning 3 disciplines: Agile Software Development, Artificial Intelligence and Cloud/DevOps
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC, including planning and design
  • Attend meetings with customers to gain an understanding of requirements
  • Attend Scrum meetings to discuss progress and refine strategy
  • Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language (TypeScript/JavaScript, Java/Kotlin, Python)
  • Continuously test code to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessary
  • Perform upgrades to improve security and efficiency
  • Present your work to industry experts
Skills & Qualifications
  • Fluent German
  • University degree in a Computer Science (Informatics, Software Engineering, ML/AI etc) with a final grade between 1.0 – 2.0
  • Previous background in IT or an affinity for IT topics
  • Base knowledge of software development
  • Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Python
  • Passion for coding and problem solving
  • High level of responsibility and professionalism
  • Great communication skills and a team player
